The Story of AU Collection
The Beggining
Andrej started out in 2009 in his Gowanus, Brooklyn studio with only six candle designs.
In his words - "As time passed, the alchemy of the candle making was revealed to me, making me see that each candle possesses its unique individual character, and a life of its own."
Today he produces over 30 designs with candles distributed all over USA and exported to countries world wide.
Inspiration & Mission
"The creation of the candles inspired me to play with different architectural forms.
I began the deconstruction of Platonic solids that led me to the discovery of existing sculptural models, that in turn through my vision needed only the inner illumination, which will enrich the imagination and pleasure of its owners.
My candles are livable art pieces. They bring a special joy to both those that give or receive them.
It is that thought which gives me a pleasure and motivation in the creation of producing my unique candles."
The Proccess
Each of our all-natural soy wax candles passes through hands 10 times to be examined and polished before it’s finished. Hot wax is poured into a 3D generated mold and 100% cotton wick is inserted in the middle.
The candles burn straight down through a cylinder in the middle, emitting a soft, lamp-like glow.
